Here are a few examples of my work. My most recent publication is for the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).
2012-2017 Strategic Plan -- CIHR Institute of Neurosciences, Mental Health and Addiction (INMHA)
My colleage Dr. Chrystal Palaty and I worked closely with the INMHA Scientific Director, as well as the Institute Advisory Board, on this Strategic Plan, which took almost a year to complete. We are very proud of the results.
INMHA’s overall objective is to ensure a more integrated approach to patient care, emphasizing brain health research across the healthcare spectrum from biomedical and clinical, to health systems and services, and to the social, psychological, cultural and environmental factors that affect the health of populations.
This five-year Strategic Plan aims to foster research that will show clear evidence of change in the brain health paradigm that reflects closer collaboration between preclinical and clinical neuroscience researchers.

Report on the first British Columbia Summit on Heart and Lung Health
I was asked to attend the inaugural HLI Summit, "Restoring and Sustaining Heart and Lung Health in the 21st Century: From Vision to Action to Impact" in February 2008, and write the Summit Report on the conference.
The College of Dental Surgeons of BC
During my time with CDSBC, I served as the Editor of the Sentinel, the official publication of the College of Dental Surgeons of BC, as well as the lead writer. The Sentinel includes current news regarding regulation, College standards, policies and guidelines for dentists and certified dental assistants in B.C.
Report on the COPD 2009 Conference
I was hired to cover the COPD 2009 Conference, held in Vancouver in February 2009, and to produce a comprehensive report on the proceedings. The conference brought together the world's leading clinicians and researchers in celebration of 30 years of excellence in lung research at the James Hogg iCAPTURE Centre, and to generate a new blueprint for COPD research for a new generation of researchers.
The summary report has something for everyone -- detailed writeups on the 30+ presentations; highlights from the Q&A Session, hosted by the BC Lung Association; lots of great conference photos, and much more.
I worked at CGA-Canada from 2004-2006, joining the organization as production coordinator for CGA Magazine and then being promoted to Contributing Editor.
My first article, co-written with the VP Research and Standards, addressed the role professional accountants play in the Canadian economy, and how this translates internationally.
I profiled two up-and-coming BC Biotech companies for BioTechnology in BC Magazine.
